The Spitfire MK-II is a fully-discrete, balanced-drive amplifier design based around Dr. Kevin Gilmore’s well known Dynalo circuit. The Spitfire is a ‘Dynamid’ amplifier as it uses two of these circuits for a total of 4 channels. The construction and audio quality has been designed to go head-to-head with the Headamp GS-X.
Technology highlights include a 24 step attenuator from Goldpoint, a mostly wire-free design courtesy of the dB2 and dBv backplanes, hand matched transistors, 0.1% tolerance resistors throughout, Nichicon capacitors and a high quality aluminium chassis.
